Once home to the Docks Offices and the Old Navigation House, the building has been reimagined as a vibrant hub for independent food and drink, now accommodating 14 diverse businesses. The extensive redevelopment breathed new life into the four-storey dockside landmark, originally built in the mid-1800s, carefully retaining its character through features such as original timber beams, elegant stair balustrades, exposed brick surfaces, and long-hidden arches and alcoves.
Blending heritage with contemporary design, the interior pairs these historic details with bold tiling, refined lighting, and warm wood finishes to create a distinctly modern feel. Flooded with natural light and offering terraces, shared social spaces, and sweeping dockside views, Gloucester Food Dock has rapidly emerged as a standout destination for the region’s food scene. Seven years of planning and development have culminated in a venue that more than lives up to expectations.
